Rock Band 2 - A New Level of Living Room Rockstar

Rock Band 2 is about to hit the stores on September 14 with a list of 84 new songs and hundreds more that can be downloaded for the Xbox 360. Versions of the game for the Playstation 3, the Wii and the Playstation 2 will be released later this year. Rock Band's original success with both players and the critics is expected to be repeated with the release of Rock Band 2. The newest version will feature a battle of the bands, tour challenges, a world tour and a drum trainer. The song list in Rock Band 2 include songs from the 1960s through the 2000s, including Paramore's "That's What You Get," Guns n' Roses' "Shackler's Revenge" and Linkin Park's "One Step Closer."

The Unique Gameplay of Rock Band 2

Rock Band 2 uses peripherals like the original Rock Band. You can play guitar or bass, drums or sing into a microphone. The peripherals have been improved. The guitar/bass is sturdier, and the tilt sensor has been retooled to be more sensitive. It is more realistic looking and the buttons are quieter than before. The drums have an improved kick pedal with a metal plate and the drum heads are more sensitive. They are completely wireless, and comes with expansion ports for hi-hat and cymbals. The microphone is more realistic and has increased sensitivity.

Rock Band 2 Gaming Options

Rock Band 2 offers several modes of play. Battle of the Bands allows you to challenge everyone on your Friends list to compete. In Battle Around the World, you can go on tour and play everywhere you have ever dreamed of. You can also challenge other bands and they can challenge you.
