The gaming industry is over a 50 billion dollar business, meaning most, if not all, kids and even adults play video games. In this case, nationwide companies that produce games should make sure that what they market in gaming stores and on-line shops are in superb quality to increase their sales and to be able to produce more.
This is where being paid to be a video game tester enters. Since gaming industry is a big business, all they want is to satisfy the needs, and wants actually, of the gamers. Most games have bugs in them, and most technicians and the producers of the games are pretty busy to check all aspects of the game. For example, if you have bought a certain game that hangs or even crashes every time your character jumps or shoots, chances are you would not like to play the game and tell your fellow gamers and friends not to buy it, instead try the other ones. It may sound as minor problem, but if there are, let's say 200,000 gamers that have been disappointed with that game, if they tell a friend that this game is not worthy for the money, then it only means one thing. It would be a major setback for the gaming company.
Customers that have bought the product of company will not buy a game that they will be producing in the future, and neither will their friends. These certain company with then have to invest millions of dollars in game development, manufacturing, shipping, and marketing costs.
