Xbox 360 Self Repair - Tips to Stop Overheating!

If you are like me then you'd rather perform an Xbox 360 self repair than having to send it away to Microsoft and wait ages on top of paying expensive prices to get it fixed.

One of the main reasons that this console has problems is down to overheating!

Inside the console is the same components as PC so no wonder it gets overheated easy. Looked at the size of a PC compared the Xbox system. So how can you perform an Xbox 360 self repair to combat the 3 red lights problem due to overheating?

Here are a few tips to prevent overheating:

My girlfriend used to make me keep my console all neat and tidy in a cabinet so if that happens to you tell her you need to take it out of it's "neat home". Your console system cannot get rid of the hot air if its in a small enclosed area so it's best to keep it out of any cabinets.

Another tip is to keep the power brick off the floor. It has a fan that gets rid of hot air from all sides so if you put the power brick on an open box it can do this more effectively and you'll decrease the chance of your Xbox 360 freezing due to overheating problems!

There are a few techniques circulating on the internet that tell you how to overcome Xbox problems and technical issues but most of they provide a temporary fix for a week or so and then the problem comes back.

If you're looking for an xbox 360 self repair guide then you can't go wrong with the video guide I used. I've provided a review for you here. It's so much better than trying to learn by reading a book!
